Product Reviews
Izziwotnot’s Bailey Sleigh cot-bed isn't cheap but it's stylish and well made. It's simple to put together, though it does take two people, and it looks lovely in any nursery. The panel was a big popular with our panelists who were enthralled by the dark wood sides and the dowel edges. It's strong enough for your baby to use up until they become toddlers. It also meets British safety standards. The depth is not enough that your child will be able to climb out the panel, and the distance between slats must not exceed 65mm. This should stop their heads from getting trapped. It is also necessary to buy a mattress, that costs an additional PS88.
This cot stands out due to of its sleigh-shaped design. It's also easy to get your baby inside and out, which is another major benefit. It's a little bit more expensive than some other cot beds, but our panel thought it was worth the extra cash for its appearance and durability.
The cot bed is available in either country pine or walnut finishes. It can be used from birth. It has three useful mattress heights, meaning you can start your baby starting with the base raised up to make it easier to access it during the day and the night, and then lower it as they grow. It has teething rails that safeguard your child's furniture and gums. When your child is out of their cot, you can easily transform it into a junior mattress and then it can be a couch.

Silver Cross' westport design is a different cot that has an incredibly solid feel and built to last. It can be used from birth as a cot, later as toddler bed, and finally as a junior bed. (Toddler guard rails are available separately). Our panel of experts found it difficult to change from cot to bed, but their other half thought it was a doddle and took less than five minutes to complete. It's a bit more expensive than other models, but you'll want to keep it for your kids when they are older.
